STANDARD CANVAS VS GALLERY WRAPPED

This is the most asked question.

 

The short answer is thickness.

 

You may prefer a STANDARD CANVAS if you plan to frame the canvas. The thickness of a standard canvas makes it a compatible fit for ready-made frames. A Standard Canvas often has staples showing down the edges, making it rather unsightly for hanging unframed. Ours will always be completely wrapped. No worries.

 

You may prefer a GALLERY WRAPPED CANVAS if you like the more modern look of unframed art. GWC giclees can be stunning framed, but will require custom framing. You typically won't find a ready-made frame that is deep enough. The sides of a GWC are wrapped so that the art continues to the sides and is visible.
